When people gather in a group, each person has their own world and wants to spend an hour before returning to their own world. They do not know that the gathering is based on a logic that has been followed up to the present moment, and that, through the opening of speech within their existing way of thinking, a person has been able to arrange a meeting with a group of people. Now, if a failure to listen occurs, its meaning and significance are that there has been no desire for personal growth within those individuals. This is because, when it comes to the existence of pride in human beings, the only positive and useful aspect is personal growth, which can attract us toward being heard. In fact, not listening within a group unconsciously creates discomfort, even in thoughtful people, leading them to wonder: *What did I say, and what did the other person say?* This question then becomes a reason for distancing oneself from others.
When a dictator becomes aware of a feeling through their first encounter with the surrounding environment, they realize, by choosing domination, that they must also impose that feeling. In other words, if I, as a human being, have heard something from a great person, and that statement concerns personal transformation and offers advice, the dictator says, “This is what that feeling is, and I am the one who decides what it means.” The feeling of change brings with it a little weakness, a little fear, a little dependence, and a sense of learning and daily effort. Now, rather than possessing knowledge, the dictator wants to claim, on the assumption that change is necessary, that they do not listen and that the only way forward is the one they have thought of themselves. It may be that we come to understand that when the dictator refuses to listen, they have not understood the emotions of the person who has been asked to change. When the dictator is not a listener, they cannot gain trust. This is why, even when the dictator themselves needs to change, they say, “I am the one who shows the way, so why should I ask how change is supposed to take place within me?” Weakness is a sign of not knowing. New information offered by the person giving advice has not yet reached the heart and mind. Perhaps the magnitude of the change is so great that, at the first stage of weakness, the person completely dismisses the advice and refuses to listen. If the dictator is aware of this, they say that there should be no progress at all, claiming that the subject is too complicated to be pursued. For example, technology is effective in bringing about progress, but the dictator calls it complicated. The feeling of fear arises because we do not know, and not knowing brings fear upon us. It is the fear of the risks of not being understood, because I myself have not understood, and the fear that arises from the strange path lying ahead of us, because the subject is so new. When the dictator discovers this feeling of fear, they say, “Those who came before us have already done it.” This happens because of a lack of knowledge, which allows the dictator to claim, “I possess that knowledge.” When you know nothing, everything is prepared for the dictator to say, “I know.” The dictator also creates a place for their allies, who, in reality, do not know either. Instead of encouraging the individual to seek understanding for themselves, the dictator agrees with them and confirms the belief that the knowledge of the subject already lies in their own hands. The feeling of dependence works in a similar way. If I have found a way for myself but do not possess the knowledge required to understand it, and if I feel weakness and fear, will this advice cause me to become permanently dependent on this particular subject and prevent me from pursuing something new? When the dictator becomes aware of this feeling of dependence, they begin to say one thing, then another, and then another, exaggerating their claims, because exaggeration is the best way to make people accept the dictator's commands. The feelings of learning and effort are also among the emotions that arise within an individual. They bring time with them and create challenges that require the person to ask questions. When the dictator hears these feelings, they expose your inability, because the place where the dictator stands is of such a high rank that they make you feel incapable.
