After careful consideration, the MODIROL Office of Cultural and Artistic Services recognized the potential of an artist whose approach to visual art could contribute to the emergence of a new cultural and artistic movement. Through delicate and distinctive techniques of fabric cutting and sewing, this artist could strengthen our efforts to express our direction and reinforce the validity of our artistic and intellectual vision. Therefore, MODIROL decided that collaboration with this artist could help us pursue and achieve these objectives.
By applying art and experience to the considerations surrounding cultural services based on trust, and to actions that require reference in order to preserve the purity of our activities, a dear artist joined us, allowing us to understand the kind of world with which our teacher and guide is connected.
A writer who, through an understanding of mutual feelings, together with logical belief and the creation of an atmosphere of communication, has been able to accompany us, and who has also shone in the world of acting through the selected film *Sonography* at the Egyptian American Film Festival in New York, has now gained our hope and trust in reading his opinions and perspectives.
Science, alongside our visual intelligence, has placed us alongside this esteemed artist. Having repeatedly heard about this artist’s screenplays featuring time-related twists in their narrative structure, we were inspired to make an effort to express, through Pire Magazine, concepts from this artist that we came to understand would be of great importance to us. We hope you enjoy this collaboration as well, and we will be delighted to have this artist’s writings alongside us.
This artist’s critical perspective during all our film screening sessions led us to believe that a character, throughout the duration of a film, can have an impact on the world created within it. We wanted to arrive at this perspective alongside this artist and understand how the world of filmmaking could move in a direction where a focus on action and reaction could have such a profound impact.
This cultural and artistic figure attracted our attention for collaboration through the services he has produced for the Municipality of Tehran. His filmmaking achievements, recognized with numerous awards at the Sad, Mahalleh, Shahr Aeen Tehran, and Shahr festivals, have led us to recognize the value of his ideas and writings. We believe that his valuable contributions can be used in the art and philosophy of screenwriting, particularly in understanding the progression of a story from beginning to end. We are very pleased to collaborate with him.
A man discovers, through a friend’s mistake, that one of his two guns has accidentally ended up in his possession. He tries to return it, but during his efforts, he realizes that everyone has been looking for the gun. When he discovers that the weapon has been released for use in a murder, he decides to hide it. His friends realize that someone has deliberately released the gun to drive them apart. In the end, none of them remains free, and they all end up in prison. The man discovers that someone has been monitoring their lives for terrorist purposes and that, after their imprisonment, they are intended to become involved in crimes. Their freedom depends on carrying out an assassination. The man waits until his friends are released from prison one by one. With each friend, he uncovers a group that intends to take revenge on all of them. This revenge is motivated by their children, who no longer ask questions about any crime.
A man’s brother throws a party to celebrate the closing of his company, as he is about to retire and stop working altogether. The man realizes that everyone asks him for permission before attending the party, which surprises him. When they arrive at the party, he discovers that his brother has always been paying salaries from his account. During the party, his brother commits suicide because he realizes that his brother has discovered that he is dead in the world. The man witnesses his brother’s suicide. After the ceremony ends, he sees his brother, who has committed suicide, at home. They both realize that they are dead, yet alive. The man tells his brother about the past and explains how he lived while being dead. He reveals to him the love of a woman, through which everyone in the world of the dead obeys him. As long as this love remains alive, they too experience both death and life. The man tells his brother that if he understands the woman’s love, his place will become permanent, and he will have eternal existence in both death and life. The woman’s love is bound to death, and the two brothers set out to find death. They discover that dying while alive in the world, and being dead while living in it, is a sin committed when one remembers God. That remembrance occurs when you create a woman’s love that she does not possess, and the sin lies in abandoning her in order to attain a permanent place. In the end, the brothers cannot teach the woman how to love, and the woman dies so that everyone may become women.
